LDA's Tag Team Tournament

Welcome LDA members from every dorm, testers, moderators and administrators welcome to the first official LDA Tag Team Tournament! The tournament will consist of sixteen teams (thirty-two players) It's a big tournament so read the sign up rules carefully before joining

Tournament Rules:
1. A tag team is composed of two duelists.
2. Only way to win a match is by defeating your opponent two out of three times.
3. The way to win a tag team match is by accomplishing the following
Both members of "Team A" defeat both members of "Team B"
If only one member from Team A is victorious, the winner from Team B will face the winner of Team A in a sudden death match; the winner of that match will take the win for the team.
4. Only way to advance in the tournament tree is to POST your match results here and have your opponent confirm!

Examples of how to win:

- Team A Partner 1 vs. Team B Partner 1 - Team A Partner 1 wins
- Team A Partner 2 vs. Team B Partner 2 - Team A Partner 2 wins
- Team A wins

- Team A Partner 1 vs. Team B Partner 1 - Team A Partner 1 wins
- Team A Partner 2 vs. Team B Partner 2 - Team B Partner 2 wins
- Team A Partner 1 vs. Team B Partner 2 - Team B Partner 2 wins
- Team B wins


4. Partners will be decided based on the LDA partner system, if you do not have a partner through LDA I will use a random.org to decide teams; your number will be according to the order you sign up (1-32)



Deck Rules:
1. Zero banned cards
2. No deck changing in between matches, however side decks are allowed.
3. Through suggestions of other members, the following deck types are not allowed:

- Mill Decks (Decks that make your opponent run out of cards)
- Burn Decks (Decks with cards that inflict direct damage to your opponent)
- Exodia Decks (Stall decks that focus on getting all limbs of exodia in your hand)
- OTK Decks (Decks that focus on bringing out high attack monsters to win a duel in one turn)

The Deadlines for the all the matches in the first round will be Thursday August 13th, 2009 at 6:00pm PST 9:00pm EST. To avoid this tournament from taking too long, the deadlines will be strictly enforced!!! Also, you must join your corresponding Hamachi Network by August 11th, 2009 failure to do so will result in a disqualification. (After this deadline KCVDS 1.16 will be out, and a new deck ban list might be implemented.)




Sorry about the hamachi network mix up guys I've been really busy with stuff irl and stuff from the other academy I'm in.. but I'm gonna dedicate my entire time online to running this tournament as smoothly as possibly now. The new hamachi network set up is as follows
Hamachi Networks:
LDAtag1 (For teams G, N, K, and D, and I)
LDAtag2 (For teams I, A, J, P, O and F)
LDAtag3 (For Teams L, E, B, H, C and M)
All Passwords are "LDA" (No quotation marks)



Prizes:
1st place team 1000 DC (500 each) + free titles
2nd place team 500 DC (250 each)
3rd place team 200 DC (100 each)
(Administrators: If you think there should be a change in the prizes please let me know! :])

Alright, I'm ready to get this tournament underway! If an administrator/moderator would be kind enough to help me clean this place up for match posts I would appreciate it!! The first post has been updated with the first matches placed on the tournament tree as well as the hamachi networks tournament participants should join to get in contact with their opponents. Let the tournament begin!

Also, I have a question, Team A is against Team I, but we're not in the same Hamachi Network, I find this a little confusing.

Hmmm thanks for pointing that out o_o I'll rearrange the netoworks. I had originally planned to make A play B C play D and just randomize people into teams, but then I also decided to randomize matches. But thanks for pointing it out. I'll fix it right away. Also, I can't delete a post that's stickied.

@Pilover, the sign ups were on a first come first served basis so maybe that's what happened to your partner or it could've been that he didn't have enough posts, I decided to let some people without 30 posts stay but I took out people that had around 5 or 8 posts so that could also explain what happened to your partner.

@Azaryn, the tournament has begun already with the current people who signed up. If your opponent doesn't want to duel you because his partner is not who he had originally planned then let me know, it's still early in this tournament and his spot can be replaced.

There will not be any more changes, please stop asking for changes. The list of duelist for this tournament is FINAL. Get your duels done please.

Stop complaining, everyone - .- I worked with the list of people who signed up if your name was not on the list then better luck next time. If anyone would like to drop out to give itachi your spot so he stops complaining to me, then be my guest.

Anyways, spam posts were deleted, keep personal drama off the forum, if Jon says the match-ups are final then there is nothing we can do to change that. Try your luck at the next tour, maybe there will be another one, remember, this is the first Tag Team tournament, involving 64 people at that, and it takes a lot of effort to keep it in check so please give him a break!

I want no more complaints or I will give out warnings immediately.

confirmed 1-2 loss

I've got plenty of complaints about people not joining the networks. I looked around in the hamachi networks and found the following people haven't joined:

Team A - Grace
Team B - Nhant
Team D - Azaryn
Team F - NIPT@KER
Team J - Saito & FMA
Team K - primape4
Team M - thelast & FflorinNn
Team N - Frank

Maybe you guys have joined but you have a different hamachi name than your LDA name and I wasn't able to point you out. If that's the case just reply to the PM I will send to the people above. If they do not reply by the hamachi joining deadline you guys will be disqualified, and since it's still early in the tournament I will give other a chance to take their spots if they're willing. This tournament has a lot of participants and problems like these were expected.. please just bare with me as making thirty two people duel within a time period is no easy task. Thank you.
