Experience System

Mostly I've been hearing of a flawed DC system, and that it should not even be allowed to buy your self up to ranks. Mostly, I can feel how it is, so I'll suggest this method.

Experience System:
Moderators and Administrators will edit a bar in your profile and messages, over time, until you reach 100, in which case, you rank up.

Increasing in bars would be earned via how much the member learns off of LDA, eg. posting articles, replying a good deck comment, and would be based off of one's rank.

Eg. if a Slifer, posts something crazy good in an advanced deck, his meter would go up, to show his experience level.

Consider my idea, as it once lost 9-10 in a poll.

Another optional method, might be instead of retests giving you +1 rank, it can give you a high increase in your experience bar.

When a member has enough experience to become a Tester, Moderator, or even Administrator, he/she can start earning up to that, but it will only be awarded if we are in need of any of the mentioned.

Since the poll system is off and we'd not know who's voting, we'll allow only to vote via post.

So, is it a good or bad method? Post your vote!

I like the idea, i think it would be better than to just buy your way up in the ranks. With this and the retests i still think it would be manageable to go up in the ranks and it might make people want to post more.

I don't like buying your way up at all, either take a re-test or do your way, which is better, but if we decide to do your method then we have to take off buying your rank.

Righto you are, in which case, DC won't decide promotions anymore. Sides' this should be more fun for admins and mods xD

Let's talk about numbers though, it'll take some time to think how much can be updated in rank and stuff...

Interesting idea; I like it.

I didn't like how you could buy ranks in the first place.

But yeah I am going to be writing up a huge suggestion list pretty soon so I will try to take this into account.

The bar will increase even when you win duels?

Ex:

Slifer VS Ra

I won 5-0 (Me)

Good game.

So if yes,when you will win 5 duels your bar will increase of 5?

I'll add it, to answer the question:
When you beat someone 5-0, that's very good, meaning that instead of 5, it can be 10-25 depending how good your getting.

The warning bar will be out of 100, I'll create it now. Have fun with it.

EDIT: ONE MORE THING, I've taken off the warning bar in messages, and it is now only accessible via profile to moderators and administrators

Please write up a guide as to how to use the Experience bar as far as retest results; duels; etc. Not literally how to use it but what is a retest or 1 winning duel with the same rank worth in EXP?

Until that time I will continue to go by the old method

Hm...I found a way to use the Dice system...should I try to get EXP points as well?

It's like...you get points for posts, having new friends, your registration date, that stuff, which can be later transferred to your EXP bar as experience...

Forumotion has a built-in points system that's a bit more advanced and less manual than the DC system. Without transferring, we can add points simply, which in my idea can be experience points, which can later be subtracted to add EXP on the EXP Bar.

Think of it like the built-in Points system used as a newer EXP thing.

..i support the idea..but..when i read the whole passage u guys are discussing about RANKING-UP using DCs.....hmm..i dont think thats cool......
or maybe using DC to have a re-take of the exams are good......not just buying ur position as an OBELISK...XD
