Cat's Ear Tribe Effect Help

Is Cat's Ear Tribe similar to the effect of Kuriboh?

If a 3000 ATK Blue-Eyes White Dragon attacks Cat's Ear Tribe, the effect makes Blue-Eyes's ATK drops to 200 ATK; course Cat's Ear Tribe is gone, but the LP damage results is 0? To me, it's like Kuriboh's "to reduce the Battle Damage you take from your attacking monsters to 0" kind of effect.
I wasn't sure for some time.
Own two of them in reality.

I would say its kinda similar if you look at it that way, but kuribohs effect activates from the hand and cats ear tribe would suicide with the other monster.

Hmm, yeah that's what I kinda thought it might be.

Well that card is like a double edge sword, normaly you wouldn't take damage. but if opponent use skull dice or reinforcement you would take damage. sorry if i didn't help. whistle

Hmm, then it would mean minimum damage. Like 600 LP recieved or maybe a little more... I'll live.
