Tournaments

i've beeen thinking that if theres a offical tournament goin on then there will be a little announcement box or somesort that will show who vs who...so ppl see it eaven if it isnt in the ''latest topics'' cuz sometimes they just forget about the tournaments...

Yeah like under the "LDA Events" sidebar, if their the events, why is only one thing in it (Card of the week) =P

yeah but it can also have little buttons on the LDA Events menu-like Card of the Week and under that Tournaments....and it wouldn't like open up a new window but it kida slides open..so u can check it out right there and when u press on the other button then the one thats open closes and the 1 u pressed on right now opens.

Well, no admin has been on in a while, but i think this is a good idea, maybe you should put up a poll.

We used to have the sliding bar at the top that displayed announcements like tourneys and stuff, we can do that again if everyone likes it.

Your not a mod yet, your in trial, if you want to lock topics ask before you do it. There is still discussion needed for this and some more people may want to voice their opinions. Just because all the votes so far say yes, doesn't mean you can lock it.

I think that's almost spam, if you have a question post a topic if its not an important question, google it or ask an admin.


As for the tabs themselves i think its a good idea to try them out, besides if no one likes them you can just get rid of them again.

Sounds good to me as well. Seeing a reminder is a good thing with a site this big. with smaller forums is not really that big of a deal.

Like Phoenix Enforcer said, you guys are not Mods, you're Trial Mods, even the current Mods lets an Admin know before they close a topic, otherwise how are we supposed to know what's going on when Mods close every topic?

have a couple tournament organizers that take care of events allow them to be able to do it. I dont know if there is a way to do that without making them an admin but just food for thought.

Well, LDA has 4 admins, so I think it's ok, someone could make a widget about the tournament and post who goes against who...something like:

Tournament 1

Person 1 vs. person 2
person 3 vs. person 4
and so on...

And you don´t realy have to wait for ace to update it, any adñin could update it as soon as the results are posted and confirmed, I think it's possible.

Hm. That's true. But you won't know how active every admin is once school starts. But I guess, it'd work.
