| Alright, so, I'm working on making a new deck. This deck is going to be focused around the card, Skill Drain, I love the trap and I was thinking today, it could actually be a card that scares my opponent you know, I mean, easily being able to get three goblin attack force cards out on the field without a sweat and not worrying about the drawbacks. It sounds great on paper, now, I must make it great in reality. So, any help? | |

| ya, there are even better cards than Goblin Attack Force to use lol XD
I'd suggest: 3x God Beastking Barbaros 2x Malevolent Mech - Goku-en or Majestic Mech - Ohka 3x Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast 2x Chainsaw Insect(2400 atk beatstick) 1x Giant Kozaky 2x Luster Dragon 3x Gene-Warped Warewolf 2x Mask of Darkness 2x Cat of Ill Omen
those are pretty much what id suggest, the rest mainly depends on your own preference

| Chainsaw insect is better with skill drain.
Beast King Barbaros is also incredible. Skill drain doesn't affect your hand so you can normal summon Barbaros. Then his effect, which would put him at 1900 attack is negated and his attack goes to the printed value of 3000.
Same basic principle with Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast. Normal summon a monster with 2800 attack.
Then there is Beast Machine King Barbaros Ür. His summoning requirements are easy enough to achieve if you are running the above monsters. He hits the field with 3800 attack and his effect which stops him from dealing battle damage is negated.
You should also pack 3 copies of Forbidden Chalice for obvious reasons.
You might want to load the deck with cards that resolve their effects in the graveyard, as this remains untouched by skill drain. It's also worth noting that Honest and D.D. Crow can also be used over Skill Drain.
By the same token as what I stated above, you might want to side some light and dark imprisoning mirrors.
Make sure to have cards that protect your Skill Drain. Dark bribe is a good idea if you don't mind the -1 it creates (unless you hit something with a cost or something that would normally draw).
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Oh, Secret Village of the spellcasters could be an option as well. If you can get a spellcaster out you may stop your opponent's ability to cast spells, making saving your Skill Drain easier. I would probably put it in your side deck though. Lightsworns have a bunch of spellcasters.
*EDIT* God damn you, svstar34! Beat me to the punch. Why must I post in paragraphs!?

| Thanks guys, I just finished up with the deck and I'll be testing it in a couple of the days to come. But yea, thanks very much, I think this deck is going to be a very powerful one. | |

| I tried a Skill Drain deck but it felt far too slow. I constantly felt like I was waiting about to be able to make a move.
On the other hand, if you drew a good hand you could probably win within the first three turns.
Having said that, if I draw a morphing Jar in my morphing Jar deck I can win on my first move (assuming I'm not playing some 60 card cowboy).
Skill Drain is good though, it can shut down a lot of strategies. As long as you maintain the highest punching power you're golden. Only problem is Honest. Magical Cylinder could also cause some problems but I rarely see that card. I figure people would rather destroy a monster than deal effect damage.
Makes sense I suppose...wait, I'm going off on a tangent here.
Skill Drain is slow but it can work when it wants to.
Good luck with your deck, I hope to hear back from you after you've tested it out.

| when chain saw attacks it gives your opponent a +1 making it bad very bad w/o skill drain Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast is the same thing as beasking no need to be repetative the point of skill drain is to get out power full monsters w/o cost machine king barbaros is kind of contradictory Giant Kozaky is unuseable w/o skill drain and will deal great dmg to you if you loose skill drain making him a great risk luster dragon and genewarped???? who puts normal beat sticks in a skill drain deck? kind of defeats the point of skill drain in my opinion
try exiled force his effect still works because hes in the gy when it activates thunder king rai-oh's 2nd effect(the sp summon negate) works as well for the same reason Cyber dragon is also good perhaps some more trap continous trap cards like pole position edit:royal oppression(put skill drain originally lol) call of the haunted and perhaps a metal reflect slime or 2 so you can use magic planter's as a draw engine also trap eater can help if your opponent is running royal decree
i like the light warrior set up my self x3 e-hero neos alius (a normal monster i know hypocrite right but his usability with skyscraper makes him worth it for this deck) x3 thunder king Rai-oh(anti search effect is negated so you can use your E-emergency calls and reinforcement) x3 E-hero captain gold x3 honest x3 beast king barbaros x2 exiled force x1 cyber dragon x1 E-hero stratos x1 mask of darkness

| Little City is the best anti-meta.
If you are set on building an anti meta deck as opposed to just a skill drain deck then little City is the way to go.
