Who is the better duelist?

Is it Yugi, Jaden, or Yusei

I pick Yugi because his deck was the first deck that I built.
He rocksss

The main characters of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime all suck. But, I'd say Yusei.

yugi's deck is no matchxD

they each hv their own POWER XXXDDD, eg.

YUGI's lucky point s >99999 with his @_@ non theme deck,( excluded his cheating ATEM ability to get wht he want ...)

JADEN's deck, lucky point 10000 times less than YuGi of course, but various fusion monsters, and eff such as Flamewingman,... Giant GOlemn, ..

YUSEI's deck, lastest generation, SYNCHRON monster, summon stardust, eff negate God card XDD "Ra, the dragon of Sun" and atk for gg XDDD ( ra 3rd eff makes players' LP to 1 to DESTROY monsters ".

HOWever, if all 3 of them in the same generation, then YUGI wll definitely win becoz he s a LEGAL CHEATER !!!! with his ATEM memory=.= this BASTARD should be banned from Konami XDDDDjk

Yeah yugi doesn't respects the rullings, he allways cheats and uses banned cards.

From those 3 I would say Jaden, because at least he has a themed deck unlike yugi or yusei who only use random cards.

spellcaster/ Fiend/ Beast warrior /beast....etc...not just that!..
he's using DIVINE CARDS?! w/c is totally banned ....
maybe yugi's winnings are based on his luck(+99999999999_) ,,cheating abilities(+99999999999) and split personality matter(+89999999999)

It doesn't matter what deck Yugi is using. He would still win. Assuming he has Atem within him.

However, by that same token, Yugi beat Atem.

Yugi/Atem beat Jaden. So you could assume that he was more powerful when both of them were in the same body.

Although, Yugi was never shown dueling again since the end of his series. Seeing as he was still known as the king of games when Jaden's story started, it makes sense to assume that he remained on top throughout those ten years. Without the help of Atem.


What I don't get is why Jaden was sent back to duel Yugi during Battle City. Maybe he felt that is when he was at his best? Maybe, he was just giving Jaden a fighting chance?

I can't really say much about Yusei as I have watched very little of the 5Ds anime. But he seems to rely on the same dumb luck that the other protagonists do. Just because someone uses more of their creature effects doesn't neccasarily make them better.


Personally, I think Joey Wheeler is the best Duelist in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. This is my reasoning:

Joey wasn't born with natural talent or some ancient prophecy tied to him. You see him learn the game and improve as the anime progressed. Hell, he technically beat Marik in a duel, and Marik used Ra. The only reason he lost was due to fatigue, his skills as a duelist were untouchable. Also, at some point he won his Red-Eyes back from Yugi. Pegasus ranked Joey above Aster and Jesse which says a lot considering how much they were touted in the GX anime. His deck revolves a lot around luck, which isn't a good thing but every other person in the anime seems to rely on luck, be it a card effect or the draw of a card.

will all of this is nice but i think we are talking about abilities not anime conditions that makes yugi a super hero who defies rulings to win i think jaden is the best cuz as aj6666 said he has a themes deck not random lucky wins and he alos deosnt have broken cards like yugi with BANNED god cards or yusei with stardust

Out of those 3 I would say that Yugi/ Atem is the best because he is an average character like everyone else is. It doesn't matter if the deck is random cards cuz jaden just gets lucky with his draws. he isn't the best of all because of the reason that he only believes in lcuk, he is the first one to say "its the luck of the draw." but personally I think Joey is the best out of them all like Hannibal said.

No, you're not talking about abilities at all you're talking about who's deck would be better in the current meta.

Yugi can influence fate, so he can't lose, it's that simple.

No he didn't.

He had flare scarab and Neos on the field, Yugi had Slifer with 5000 attack.

he called magma neos by miracle contact

and S.flarewingman with miracle fusion?

Okay, I watched it again, S.Flare Wingman is still on the field but it only has 4300 attack points when Slifer is summoned.

Not only that but Yugi had Kuriboh and Magical Hats in his hand.

Jaden lost.

When they choose three monsters and Jaden intentionally gets his monsters put to the grave.

Yugi adds his chosen monsters to his hand and you see Kuriboh and Magical Hats.
