How to put custom KCVDS skins.

I'm posting this since shadow asked me how to put custum KCVDS skins and in case anyone else doesn't knows how.

Well all you have to do is to go to the folder where KCVDS is saved, open the skins folder, then make a new forder and save a 570 x 600 image there as kcvds_field

BTW: you can look for skins in photbucket.

Hi everyone!

In this topic I will teach you how to put skins inside KCVDS.
First of all:

What is a skin?
A skin is the background image that you see when you are dueling.
In the beginning you start with three to choose from, but when you read this topic you can choose from more then 100.

How to put a skin inside KCVDS:

Find a skin you like (Later in this topic there are links to many Skins to choose from)
Save the skin on your computer. (Which is an image)
Then click on the place where you installed KCVDS.

Double click Kaiba Corporation
Double click KCVDS
Double click Skins
Create a map here which is called the way you want this skin called.
Place the earlier saved image in this map.

Important:
Give the image this name:
KCVDS_Field

Now start KCVDS and log in.
Click Options.
Now you can select your skin there.
Save your choice.



Most of you probably don't know that there are many KCVDS skins.

I did just that, saved a picture, put it in the skins folder within another folder... and no luck. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong?

did you set the name as KCVDS_Field??? if you do that and it still dont work, if you put spaces in the folder name.. that could do it. it messed with mine

Every skin must be in another folder.
And as Gouken said, you MUST name them KCVDS_Field.
The folder itself should be the name you would like to have displayd in the options menu in KCVDS.

the pictures are in regual pic format like JPG and JPEG and so on ??

Yep, they're all JPEG.

Hate to bring up dead topics, but does this method apply to kcvds 1.19?

EDIT : nvm, I tested this seems to work. Havent done a duel with it yet though.

I dont know. I see the actual theme loaded up in the preview box. Maybe It doesnt work in an actual duel. I havent tested that, but if it loads up in preview then I would think it would work in an actual duel.

I know in prewiew it works but Not sure about the duel coz i tryed 1 time they didnt work!

I think the reason why you guys can't see the skin is because this was for 1.15, the feature is not avaibable for 1.19.
