First off i shall begin with a lexicon of sorts of how I will be describing some of the cards I will talk about.
One for One: a card with the effect that uses one of your cards to destroy one of your opponents cards. Ex: Smashing Ground destroys one of your opponents monsters and it is sent to the grave yard.
Plus One: A card effect that gives you one more card when you use it. Ex: Any one of the Gadgets.
Hand Advantage: having more cards in your hand than your opponent does. This is good because when you have more card in your hand you have a better chance to counter anything your opponent does. Probably the the thing gadgets are best at.
Field Advantage: Mostly having more monsters on the field not so much spells, and traps since mass spell/trap removal is more prevalent than mass monster removal is now.
Now for the basic strategy of a Gadget Oppression deck.
Keeping hand advantage with the gadgets, stopping special summons with Royal Oppression/Dyna, and gaining field advantage with one for one cards like Smashing Ground.
The main cards:
Green, Red, and Yellow Gadget. Each of them when normal or special summoned they give you a plus one.
Smashing Ground, Fissure, and Hammer Shot. One for one cards that kill one face up monster on the field each.
Royal Oppression lets you or your opponent negate a Special summon at the cost of 800 Life Points.
Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, stops both players from special summoning and, destroys special summoned monsters when flipped up.
Other cards:
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, destroys any card on the field when fliped(one for one most of the time tribute fodder others), and thins deck.
Pot of Avarice recycles Gadgets/other monsters and is a Plus one.
Snipe Hunter his effect gives you a 66.67% chance of a one for one on any card and can be used multiple times in a row.
Caius the Shadow Monarch removes one card on the field from play with a chance of 1k damage if its a dark monster.
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer beat stick lets you remove your opponents monsters and keeps them from removing them.
Dimensional Prison one for one that removes the monster but is a trap.
Torrential Tribute mass monster removal
Heavy Storm mass spell and trap removal
Bottomless Trap Hole one for one that removes a monster upon summon
Mystical Space Typhoon one for one spell/trap removal
