More Staff Members

'Staff Members', mostly means Testers, the ones we have are great, I'm not suggesting we replace any of them, just get more, LDA gets more and more members everyday, and it'd be great if we could get all of them tested on the spot, to make it easier.

The process of recruiting more testers will be pretty difficult, and should be well thought out and organized.

Please don't ask to be a Tester. >.<

I'm still thinking of the whole idea right now, I'd just like to throw it out there and see your opinions/solutions to this.

Basically, I think members that have gotten into Obelisk Blue, and that have been in Obelisk Blue for a long time, should be tested by one of us to see if they qualify to be a Tester, like if they're fair and respectful and they're game style in general.

You can't buy your way up to being a Tester anymore, at least I don't think so, I haven't checked that Sticky in a while...

So yeah, comments are welcome.

This is also for Mods to I guess....since we don't have many, but I guess we can discuss that later on. xP

i agree with your ideas for the most part aside from the obelisk members only thing. i agree that they should be veteran duelists and members of LDA but i think you should also give members that choose to stay in lower dorms (idk why they do this, but they do) a chance at becoming mod or tester. the reason i suggest this is because of the fact that there ARE a FEW members of Slifer and maybe Ra (but I'm not sure about them) that are as good as anyone I've played on KCVDS.

Well i agree we do need more testers and since im a RA i know my opinion doesnt really matter so im also gonna say even though im only in RA soon enough im gonna be a tester no matter how hard ill have to work but i do think we need more of them.Maybe u could hold a tournament a BIG tournament and the top three could become testers

That sounds a little unnecessary, I think an application post should be opened, where you explain to duelists what the requirements for a tester should be. Such as number of posts, time in the academy, dorm rank, etc. Once people have met these requirements, have the current LDA testers test them and if they should pass then there you go! As far as administrators are concerned, it should be someone who has the time to go around and cash in DC close topics, etc. Someone who is very active; the people with the most posts should qualify for that.

Posts don't matter, but I think we'll implement the idea of Testers testing people that want to be Testers.

Im a new tester in DKm so I am apparently qualified since thats what they say so if u ever need one im ready

Different academies must have different ways of testing, Just because some academy has used you to be a tester, doesn't mean that's what LDA might be looking for specifically.

Well, I'd say we need more mods..since none of them is active, but if you need more testers you can hire me beck whenever you like.

I like that whole Tester idea where you asked to be tested for a tester. and you duel the tester and he/she will say to admin or mods that you are ready to be a tester or something like that :DD

Will talk to the other Admins about this, I might take you guys up on the whole, whoever wants to be a Tester can apply for one and get tested by a Tester. xP

So I know the academy is in need of staff, and the current staff is usually busy. More staff is needed to fix some of the current problems, when will we see more staff coming in?

I think what we really need is Testers, which is what we're in the process of getting. o.o

If you need a tester i will be ready i am ready to be tested for that i was testeri in another academy but as jon dance this will have different requirments

lol Being Tester is not so easy.

You will take 20 request every day,or maybe much more.
You must have to be active on hamachi and on LDA and you have to write Test Results from everyone.
I'm not saying it's a doom,i'm only saying it's hard.

Ok then, now to fix a certain problem of my mind.

How many moderators do we need, and how many moderators should we demote...?

Mostly here's moderation criteria:
Be active, if your as active as Ace, like Aster once was up there^^ you'll easily earn it.

Post. A lot. You have to know your members, who are the trouble makers, and what types of posts are spam. This is unlike Testers, who have to prove their dueling skills.

Finally, a bit of dueling skills. So yeah, a member comes up and asks you for a duel, you accept and lose with one of your best decks, so then, your screwed ^.^ giving bragging rights to someone. This is fine sometimes, but can spoil a member.

Last but not least, don't ask that much, as asking once, can give the idea to the current staff, to see if you can earn it.

Oh and respect your members, have fun with them, unlike another academy I know...
