How to Attract New Members

Mmm...well before Tharyan posts his freakishly long suggestion, we'll start off with a small one. ^^

Just as the title says, how do we get more members? We have 288 right now, I'd say our main competition is Duel Academy and Duel Kings, they both have around 450 members, how do we surpass them?

Aster deleted say...about 20, we had about 302 a few days ago whistle

Well, DK and DA are older than LDA, that's why they have more members than us, it's just a matter of time untill surpass them.

However, a good to atract new members is to gather 8 random peopole from beta room in a hamachi network, then you start a small tournament and after it's over many of them will ask for more tournaments, so you tell them to join LDA where many tournaments will be hosted and everyone's happy.

I like that. I know some advertise it in the Beta Room, but the chances of someone seeing the message while people are spamming their networks is very unlikely. xP

Why did Aster delete some? We can't expect every single member to be active. o.o

1. Aw don't worry I did that once or twice. The first time it became good, and that's how I got the fifth top poster in LDA, besides, it doesn't take a genius to evict a spammer from a network, does it? Right click > Evict, simple as that

2. I dunno why Aster deleted some, guess some were still guests, who never took their test. Not my decision, but eh, I still gotta go and delete a user if my brother still is trying to break in LDA o.o He tried to do that last night and managed to log me out of LDA for 90 minutes

a signature for LDA that the people here could use on other forums could somewhat help get new members. make an awesome signature that also includes the words, "JOIN LDA TODAY" then whoever is interested can click the signature and boom it will bring them here.

I think we should stop advertising our affiliates ... that causes members to try out other academies that they might possibly join instead of LDA. I think it is also important to make sure that all suggestions are considered.

Lol. Well, TWA has basically only members from LDA. Lots of people in LDA are going to TWA
