Warning Level and Harassment

I've been told that warning levels don't go down and that administrators can't do anything about hamachi harassment because hamachi is not part of the LDA... but aren't the hamachi networks part of LDA? We encourage dorm members to join their own dorm hamachi, we all know about the LDNA-Z networks that belong to LDA and the LDA tournament networks, if harassment is happening within the networks that are related to LDA shouldn't administrators be able to do something about it? I don't know how much truth there is to warning level not going down, but if warning level doesn't go down unless you are banned for a month then there's a huge problem with this system!

Well Hamachi networks are part of LDA, and we'll handle anything that goes on in there with appropriate proof, wonder who told you that they aren't


EDIT: Warning level doesn't go down, but when you reach three, you get banned for three days, not a month as a first offense^^

If the network with harassment is not apart of LDA - then we can't do anything about it.

But, if it is apart of LDA, then immediate action will be taken, as I told you in my PM.

The ban system is a a little strange, I actually don't really like the Warning Bar myself, matters like these should be private and not exposed to the whole community.

Here is what I'm thinking of changing it to:

Punishments for Breaking any of these Rules

1st offense: Warning/Noob status/Ban 3 Days
2nd Offense : 1-2 Weeks ban (Insulting mod/admin is automatic 2 weeks. Repeated offenses)
3rd Offense: 1 Month ban (repeated offenses applied by Admins)
4th Offense: 3 Month ban (applied by Admins)

Or at least something similar to that, this sytem is a lot more effective then the Warning Bar.

But yeah, we'll definitely have to do something about it.

Not realy Grace, I like the warning bar, I think it's a fair way to make peopole realise they're mistakes so they won't do it again, but I think it should go down sometimes, at lesast when you get 3 warnings.

However, I somehow agree with you, I don't think the warning bar should be seen in every post, it should be viewable by mods/admins and the owner of that bar.

I don't think hiding the bars can be done though unfortunately.

I don't think the warning level is a bad system, I know why my warning level is the way it is and I'm not complaining about it, I just think that it should go down at some point but if it can't be done then I guess that's the best we can do ;D I don't mind my warning, I know I got it for a good reason, and standing up for my friend was worth it.

Ban someone for 1 or 2 month .. ! Heck .. I am pweddy much addicted to this place .. Made some good friends already .. 1-2 month ban .. Thats so so so so effing Uncool .. ! May be take all the DC .. but Ban I hate it .. ! So unfair .. !

Clearing it every 2 months seems like a really long time, this academy has only been up for about five months.

Lol, you have to understand that a one or two month ban won't be applied if you do something small like spam a bit or double post, no, those types of bans are mostly for extreme cases, like if someone is giving links to pornography, or is being racist, or harassing someone constantly.

Also, it can be applied for those that would repeatedly break the rules, I don't know about you, but I don't think someone deserves to be banned for 1 or 2 days when he/she doesn't really care and will come back and continue to break the rules.

So that means if my warning level gets full I be banned for like 1-2 Days .. ! And then It will be reset again ??
I got a plan .. Before going to vacation .. I will do somethng mischievous .. Complete warning level .. so ban wont matter .. ! ! ..
But Frankly ... Make it like .. pay "This much" Dc or Get banned for like 2-3-5 days .. So we can feel a bit more secure ! ..
