TWA Ban List

For those of you who might not know, TWA made a banlist. Here is the link:

What I dont understand is, why do they feel it necessary to ban entire decks? The limited/forbidden list created by the konami or whoever does it, should be enough. Sure the decks are everywhere, but learning to beat them makes you a better duelist in the long run.

All the decks in the list make alot of sense to me i guess because they can suck alot, but Macro Monarch? I have not seen this deck around anywhere near as much as others so it makes little sense to me. Can someone explain this particular decks banning? (Yes im a little peeved that my main deck is banned on there but im more interested in figuring out why)

I think they're trying to encourage people to stay out of the Meta-Game.

The only decks i agree with is Lightsworn, Blackwings, Gladiator Beasts.

Current Meta-Game

Lightsworns(Everywhere)
Macro-Monarch(Slowly dying)
Mill(Mainly used when trying to Anti-Lightsworn)
Tele-DAD(Harder to pull of since DAD limit)
Synchro Cat(Thank god they banned DSF)
Diamond Dude Turbo(Maybe)

Just wait until the next Booster Pack Release then you'll have to deal with the BS of the Infernity Decks(They revolve around having no card in your hand).

Now to answer your Macro-Monarch question.
This deck will destroy the current Meta-Game Tele-DAD, Lightsworn, and Blackwings just to name a few especially with Raiza being unlimited with the recent Ban List.

This deck is very powerful not even my Jinzo/Horus Lockdown Deck can dent Macro-Monarch. Why?!
It has my 2 of 3 of my weaknesses. One being instead of my cards going to the graveyard they're RFP. Two being that my deck is defenseless against Monster Effects mainly Monarchs a simple raiza could ruin the duel completely by getting rid of my Jinzo or Horus Lv.8

Yes i know i went on and on about stuff that's kind of off-topic lol!

Well this was a tough decision by me and my staff at TWA. We understand that by doing this we lose possible members but you must also understand that we also gain members looking for a duel where it isn't just about luck or swarming. We simply are trying to offer something different. I encourage everyone to not abuse meta. We are making changes so we can appease everyone but as you can see that is difficult. However dueling with non meta is fresh breath of air that I enjoy having at TWA since it is most likely the only academy doing something like this.

And yes Sephiroth in HD is correct. Macro decks have very few weaknesses and have no counter decks which then lead to really long duels where the macro user gets about a million LP and the opponent is done for without even doing anything xD

Well, TWA is mr. pegasus's academy, so it's his choise if he wants to ban some decks or not. There's is nothing we can do here at LDA, make sure to post this in the right academy next time.
